In other words, bassoon is going well, if a bit exhausting. How are all of you lovely people?

Here's a collection of some beautiful portraits I've come across on DA. Some of these just leave me speechless.

A True Deviant Named radioPoohA True Deviant Named radioPooh by PurpelBlur
I was not fortunate enough to have the privilege of knowing radioPooh, David, on a personal level. However, I did witness his love, passion, and dedication to deviantART and as such I have felt moved in a profound way to post this for him. My heart pours out to his wife, Maenod; family, and friends.
The following is what a few friends had to say of David:
When I first met David - he was slapping me on the wrists for saying a stock DD was "beautiful all on it's own". He asked me "So does stock have to automatically be a throwback photograph not worthy of standing on it's own?"
I wrote him a note saying I agreed and in turn he opened my eyes to how important good resources are to ANY artist.
From that day forward we spoke almost daily about life and loves and art and of course dA.
He and I joined forces to be the stock gallery directors a few years back. It was difficult....especially considering how frowned upon it was to give a stock image a DD back in the day
|Spencer here. I'm just your average bassoonist/musician with a thing for photography. When I'm not playing bassoon or taking photos, I like to ride my bike, go geocaching, play Pokemon, or go on a scuba diving adventure (mostly play Pokemon, though). Also, I like coffee ice cream.|
